Master tailor, Bernard Lennweber and his wife Mary, opened a specialty store in Berlin in 1888 “Off the peg” menswear garments were just becoming popular.

Herbert Tengelmann took over in 1932. Brax has become a staple in our stores because they offer quality merchandise off the peg for discerning customers of all tastes.
